The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. The mops spin at a high speed and utilize 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to quickly get rid of pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a variety of brushes and attachments, and a user-friendly app that lets you select the kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.
For instance, you can ask the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly but leave the bedroom to itself. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and smart navigation tech are also excellent as the robot is capable of detecting small obstacles that other models struggle with. Its only issue is that the robot tends to crash into walls and objects at full speed. However looking at the cleaning history on the app will show you precisely what the robot has accomplished, where it's traveling, and what obstacles it has encountered or avoided.
The docking station comes with a handy LCD screen that indicates the need for maintenance for cleaning up debris and washing the water tank that is dirty. It's also able to mix detergent automatically into the water tank using a 600ml bottle of the eufy's solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop have plenty of run-time and the mop is capable of running for up to 184 minutes in quiet mode, while the vacuum is can last for 136 minutes in normal mode before having to recharge or return to the base to replenish. You can view the entire cleaning information in the app, which is intuitively laid out and easily understood although we would like to be able to distinguish between a vacuum and mop and vacuum clean when looking at a cleaned area in the history of cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's most popular robot vacuum and mop, is the most up-to-date version. The model of this year features a double agitator built into its mopping pad. This improves the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has enhanced suction power, which allows it to pick up fine hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners might overlook.
As with the two other Roborock models I've tried the S8 Pro Ultra has a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology that helps it avoid walls, furniture and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things one step further by adding a dual camera which can detect objects and decide whether they're an object that is a wall or a different surface. It can then change its direction automatically and clean around them without stumbling.
It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed, but it's also loaded with features. Its sleek, angular style is attractive and it only has three physical buttons: the power button, that also resumes cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock and a home button that can return the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid, you will find the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank will empty itself and the bin auto-refilling.
The only downside I've discovered with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if necessary) however, it's a hassle to remove the mount itself to wash it manually. I've observed that any carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mounts, which can cause scratches.

You can manage and set up these through the Roborock app which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to plan cleanings and monitor the battery's life. You'll need to jump through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. It's a shame considering how efficient it is otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a market leader with cutting-edge features, high suction power and advanced mowing abilities. Its smart design allows you to personalize and efficiently clean while saving time.
The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to feature 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is among the most powerful choices available. This powerful vacuum cleans up the dry mess, which includes pet hair and crumbs. It also comes with a high-quality mop that makes hard floors spotlessly clean, even with a wet pad. Additionally, the X40 is quiet in it's operation, producing only occasional squeaks of sound when switching between modes or completing self-maintenance tasks.
The X40 has a side brush that is able to be extended and lifted. This allows it to reach into corners that are hard to reach and clean furniture that is curved like table and chair legs. The robot can also reach under low-profile furnishings which makes it an ideal option for smaller apartments or condos. The side brush also automatically lowers itself when it spots wet spots, which is a nice feature that assists the X40 avoid damaging floors with repeated back-andforth movements.
Unlike other robots, which are limited to a single task, the X40 can vacuum and mop at the same time. It can be programmed to only mop the hard floors and skip carpeted areas or reverse the process. It can be controlled through the Dreame app or by using Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for a seamless voice-controlled operation.
The app is user-friendly and easy to use, and the X40's smart features are easy to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times. They can also adjust suction power, switch modes, look at floor plans and maps and control mopping settings. The X40 will also monitor its progress and notify you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with numerous features that make it a great choice for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the trash bin into a 3.2 L bin, washes mop pads and refills them with clean water and cleaning solution. It can also tell when the mop pad is filled and notify you before it overflows, reducing the need for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available. It has a number of features that make it stand out. The mops are equipped with a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. It uses two high-speed mops to scrub floors more thoroughly than the traditional method, and has the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, dirt particles and pick up spills and dirty spots.
The mop is also cleaned and dried inside the base station after every use. This is beneficial because it stops mould and unpleasant odours from building up in the storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is an option we haven't seen on other robot mop and vacuum models. It could be a great way to keep your home clean longer.
There's a wealth of settings on offer which include the ability to schedule cleaning and adjust a variety of preferences. These can be set via the app or direct buttons on the unit itself. The app is easy to use and has a lot of options to customize the cleaning routine, and there are many features that other robots do not include, for instance, the Clean Genius mode that automatically boosts suction power when it detects dust particles, instead of using a manual setting.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most elegant robots we've seen on the market, sporting metallic and white design that looks classy and sophisticated. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than some of the other robots on this listing, but it's still not excessively heavy. It feels solid and well-constructed. The mopping is also well-designed and the double-rotating mops work well on hard floors as well as in corners. They can also reach down to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice feature.
